Whether painting, drawing or performance, Jill Tegan Doherty let’s her works merge across multiple levels of consciousness and transitional states of mind and body. 

In nature – especially in the forest near her home in Berlin – she feels the precious beauty that helps her to live through the darker sides of her experiences. In most of her series, she uses animals to visualize her reflections and as metaphors of human-social challenges and constraints. “They are sort of peculiar self-portraits, visually exploring our place in the world,” Jill says.
