Peace silk, also known as Eri silk or Ahimsa Silk that has its origins in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, and is produced during a non-violent silk breeding method that enables a completion of the natural life cycle from the silkworm to the butterfly. Metallic nickel, antique silver, and fine bronze threads are delicately overlaid the silk to recreate Eiko's shimmering pencil drawings. The eye-catching hand embroidery is laid on a soft cashmere weave and perfected to capture the artiste’s signature collage style. Each wearable piece of art has been hand-embroidered by India’s most talented master artisans.
