Massa Confusa by Viktoria Strecker explores a state of raw potential — a moment before form, where chaos, intuition, and imagination quietly meet. Inspired by the idea of prima materia, the work invites an inward gaze, where meaning remains open and transformation begins.
 
Hand-drawn gestures are translated into three-dimensional forms rising from burned paper, marked by heat and change. Black, scorched tones carry a sense of warmth and becoming. Massa Confusa lingers in this in-between space, inviting the viewer to pause, sense, and imagine what is still unfolding.
 
Our Massa Confusa twill vest is a carefully crafted interpretation of the artwork. The motif is hand-embroidered using metallic and silk threads, translating Strecker’s gestures into tactile detail. Responsibly produced in Berlin from British twill, each piece reflects a quiet dedication to craft, material, and thoughtful making. This vest is designed to be paired with the Gestalt trench.
